Cohort 1 (started Summer 2012)

Mark Hanna

Mark graduated from UCLA as an undergraduate and completed his Master’s degree in Global Medicine prior to being accepted to GW’s School of Medicine. He has previous clinical research experience from the Cedars Sinai Medical Center trauma center and will be working with Dr. Boniface on the use of ultrasound in the emergency department.

Yushekia Hill

Graduate of Howard University. Worked at NIH. Previous experience in nanomaterials and will be working with Dr. Ivor Horn who’s research interests focus on racial and ethnic child health disparities and provider communication with African American parents from diverse socio-economic backgrounds in the pediatric primary care setting.

Eric Strong

Eric is a Florida native and has previous research experience in the use of UV light in cancer treatment. His research project is examining how lateralization varies during four different language tasks, and across specific regions of interest (Wernicke’s area, the cerebellum, middle frontal gyrus, and inferior frontal gyrus) between epileptic and non-epileptic adults.
