Nuts and Bolts of Successful Writing

A new program focusing on the skills needed for academic writing!

· What: We (Eiman Abdulrahman, MD and Susan Keller, MLS) are inviting all faculty and staff who want to write clearly and concisely for academic work to attend this new writing program.

· Why: The goal of this program is to increase confidence and improve the skills of ALL faculty and staff who struggle with writing.

· When: First session will be September 12, 1-2PM, in the Vision Center , Bear Institute, 2nd Floor, Main Hospital (WebEx will be available)

· How: The textbook for the program is Essentials of Writing Biomedical Research Papers

o Please buy a copy of the book (a link to the Amazon is included above). We will be working through the exercises in this book and discussing the topics during the program. The table of contents is available HERE.  

o We will meet every other Thursday from 1-2 PM, Vision Center, Main Hospital. WebEx will be available for those who cannot attend in person.
