Degree & Certificate Programs

PhD Program in Translational Health Sciences (THS)

The PhD program in THS is designed to produce national leaders who can conduct health-related research and disseminate innovations in health care. Through mentorship, training, and experiential learning, our program develops innovators in implementation science and dissemination research. Visit the PhD program site for more information.

Master’s (MSHS) in Clinical and Translational Research (CTR)

Our fully-online MSHS in CTR program empowers students through competency-based training to conduct CTR with a team of collaborators, integrate evidence-based practice into CTR, and develop proposals with professionals from other disciplines. Visit the MSHS program site for more information.

Graduate Certificate in CTR

Designed to meet the professional development needs of busy professionals, the online Graduate Certificate program offers training for those looking to broaden their clinical research skillsets and serve as a principal investigator in clinical trials. All credit hours earned in the certificate program are transferable for seamless enrollment in the MSHS in CTR program if desired. Visit the Graduate Certificate in CTR program site for more information.

Graduate Certificate in Clinical Research Practice (CRP)

The online Graduate Certificate in CRP is built to quickly equip graduates with the skills to conduct clinical research in collaboration with sponsored research programs. This one-year certificate ensures students know how to conduct clinical trials according to applicable laws, regulations, and the institutional policy that governs the research. Visit the Graduate Certificate in CRP program site for more information.

Joint Degree in Medicine and Clinical Research Practice (MD/CRP)

To address declining numbers of physician-scientists, TWD has created a Joint Degree MD/CRP. This degree pathway seamlessly introduces the established CRP certificate program into the MD curriculum without added time/expense to MD training. The first class of MD/CRP students is planned for Summer 2022. Contact CTSINavigator@childrensnational.org for more information.
