What is this resource?
The Clinical Studies Support Program (CSSP) has been developed to improve and integrate interactions between key research operational units that support human participant research studies. The CSSP serves as an administrative home for the clinical research community to provide information and support to guide clinical research activities at Children’s National Health System (CNHS). The CSSP works with the research units and the clinical research community to improve interactions, streamline and create efficiencies in the research process, enhance performance research, and improve the overall research experience at CNHS.
The CSSP, in partnership with the CTSI-CN Quality and Efficiency team, works to identify steps in the research workflow that are associated with delays in the process and develop comprehensive and corrective measures to address these issues using ISO 9000 quality management principles and Lean Principles.
These efforts are intended to enhance Children's National as a research institution and make it more efficient and attractive to granting agencies (public and private) as well as industry sponsors as an important center for pediatric research.
